The
NWC SAF Steering Group have endorsed contents and schedule of the NWC SAF
First Joint Training Workshop aimed to provide the necessary information
to take advantage of both Software Packages: SAFNWC/MSG and SAFNWC/PPS which
will be delivered during the next months.

day (afternoon session)
- Welcome,
Plan for the WS and General description of the Nowcasting SAF;
- Summary
of relevant SW aspects, avoiding the detailed installation procedure;
- PPS
products descriptions;
- Second
day (morning and afternoon sessions)
- MSG
product descriptions;
- MSG
case study presentation. Product comparison and interrelationship.
- Third
day (morning session)
- SAFNWC
products on real time run exhibition;
- Discussions
in groups on identified topics; and
- Plenary
session: conclusions
Training
material:
It
is planned to provide a CD with the presentations and relevant NWC SAF
information.

Attendants:
Expected
scientist administrators of the Nowcasting SAF (both packages MSG and PPS)
applications and final users. No more than two attendants per Institute
expected.
